Jose Chameleone to release new album ‘I Am Joseph’
Joseph Mayanja better known by his stage name Jose Chameleone has announced that he is working on a new album.
Joseph Mayanja, better known by the stage name Jose Chameleone, is currently working on his new album, “I Am Joseph.”.
The 42-year-old singer, who has spent more time at the Route Entertainment studios in Bunga, revealed that the music on the upcoming album is going to be able to connect people.
According to reports, “I Am Joseph” contains more than 12 songs and most of the tracks are being recorded in Swahili, Luganda, and English, a clear indication that the music champion is going back to basics and probably wants to sign off on a high note.
“I Am Joseph” follows Chameleone’s most recent releases, like “Sweet Banana” in 2017 and “Champion” in 2018.
In 2000, he released his first album, Bageya.

Chameleone’s music style is a mix of Ugandan folk music, zouk, reggae, and central African rumba.
Over the past few decades, he has won quite a few awards (around 20 of them), and is one of the most popular musicians on the African continent.
Among his several albums are Mama Mia, Mambo Bado, Jamila, Kipepeo, Bageya, Shida za Dunia, Bayuda, Njo Karibu and other record-selling albums.
His hit songs include Valu valu, Jamila, Shida za dunia, Bayuda, Tatizo, Nkwagala nyo, Kipepeo, Dorotia, and Kipepeo.
