The Africa playlist can be found under Tidal’s Explore tab and will house a variety of playlists highlighting new music and local classics.

Norway’s Tidal has launched a new playlist page featuring music from Africa. The move comes as part of the company’s mission to highlight the continent’s vibrant music scene.

You can find Tidal’s Africa playlist page under the Explore tab and it will display a variety of new arrivals as well as classics from the continent.

Among the playlists, which will be updated regularly, are Africa Now, which showcases the biggest hits and freshest sounds from across the continent

The other three are Naija Hits, Mzansi Hits and Sabar & Kora: Senegal, Mali, Guinea & the Gambia, which focus on contemporary West African pop music.

According to Tidal, the booming African continent is bursting with talent.

“Africa is producing some of the best musicians in the world,” Tidal said.

Tidal is the latest to spotlight African music with the latest genre expansion among the major streaming platforms.
